Innocent Chaos Celebrates 15 years in Business

From selling handmade brooches at craft fairs in 2007 to shipping bridal orders as far as Japan and America, Sharon McVeagh, owner of Innocent Chaos, leveraged her creative talents to create a successful floristry business. Now, the female entrepreneur is recognised as the leading artificial floral specialist in Northern Ireland with her faux floral creations.

Graduating with a first class honours in Fine & Applied Art and a love for designing and crafting, Sharon knew that a creative career was always on the cards. Working day and night, she grew her business from a small start up to an international brand.

Fast forward, Innocent Chaos is now celebrating 15 years in business and is enjoying great success.

The popular floral brand blossomed in 2010 after they developed alternative artificial bridal bouquets, created from brooches, buttons, silk flowers and precious keepsakes. They developed a unique style in the bridal industry which instantly made them stand out and found themselves attracting customers from around the world. The brand is highly sought after and adored by brides internationally and locally.

In their stunning Belfast studio, based at Portview Trade Centre, Newtownards Road, you will find a beautiful floral haven filled with the most stunning realistic silk flowers, wedding bouquets, customised pieces and gifts. Each bouquet is handcrafted by their team, using the highest grade of silk and dried flowers.

With wedding florals put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company launched a stunning homeware range online, offering customers eye-catching and contemporary posy jars, letterbox blooms, door wreaths and floral arrangements to style their home, office space or to send as a gift.

With undeniable creative talent, Sharon says that creativity, hard work and showing up every day are the main reasons for her success.

Speaking about the business milestone, Sharon McVeagh said,

“Since I was a young girl, I always knew I wanted my own business and the fact that we are celebrating 15 years in business is just amazing.

“It’s been quite the journey and I’m delighted to mark this business milestone. It’s taken a lot of hard work, dedication and sacrifices to get here, but it’s been truly rewarding. The fact that I’m doing something I love every single day is a dream come true. I love being in my studio with my team making unique floral creations for customers.

“I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. The support we continuously receive from customers, suppliers and business owners is just incredible and I am beyond grateful.

Silk flowers have become increasingly popular for brides getting married at home and aboard. Speaking about the advantages of silk bridal bouquets, Sharon said,
